Interceptor 2000
 The
BBR Interceptor 2000 is the catalyst for tuning to the millennium
and beyond.
You can now access and
tune any engine management system to suit your exact needs,
whether they be power, economy, forced induction applications,
camshafts, or whatever.
It can be fitted to any
ECU and is the only way to modify those ECU's which do not
have replaceable chips.
Tuning is not its only
function however: using the information provided by the
various displays on the optional PC interface, the
user gains access to sophisticated engine diagnostics.
The Interceptor 2000 has
been designed from the outset to cope with the demands of
modern, emission controlled vehicles. It has been used in
applications to enable vehicles to meet and pass the latest
EC96 (94/12/EC) European emissions homologation tests. As
far as we know, it is the only after-market system of its
type in the world that has achieved this.
Interceptor 2000 is a
small but highly sophisticated controller. It allows selected
ECU functions to be overridden without affecting the vehicle’s
original software.
The unit is configured
for a particular application and contains a set of calibrations
(maps) for the vehicle. These can be switched on or off
to give true ‘back to back’ comparisons.
An optional, PC based,
interface is available which enables the Interceptor 2000
to function as a diagnostic tool and simple data logger.
For those interested in modifying the Interceptor 2000 to
suit their own conversions, an additional software suite
is available enabling the entire system to be set up and
tuned from scratch.
Interceptor 2000 is designed
to fit any vehicle with electronic fuel injection and/or
ignition. To date it has been successfully applied to many
road car conversions and also in uses as diverse as fork
lift trucks, HGV's and one-make racing series.

has just won a European FUSE Award to redevelop the Interceptor
into a unit more powerful than most vehicles' ECU's.
This development will take nearly a year and incorporate
new technology which we think will be unique in the automotive
